The Communication Design Stream covers two dimensions of the same foundational conviction: that how you communicate shapes what becomes possible. The first dimension is strategic — designing communication that expands the agency of those you need to move, grounded in structural intelligence and alignment. The second is craft — finding and expressing your own voice in writing that carries the weight of what you actually have to say. Three courses are offered across these two dimensions.
A course on designing communication that expands rather than constrains the agency of those it reaches — covering the three pillars of the Agency-Expanding Communication Framework™: structural analysis of the stakeholder system, empathy as disciplined practice of inhabiting the other's world, and alignment-framed communication that builds partnership rather than resistance. For leaders and practitioners who operate in complex political and stakeholder environments and need to communicate with intention.
A course on the Ground-Up axis of the Ground-Up Inside-Out Framework™ — Lineage, Legacy, and Implication. How to build a story from the actual material of the life: the historical and familial ground that produced the writer, the legacy that was carried forward, and the argument the story makes about the world. For writers who need to go to the source before they can go to the page.
A course on the Inside-Out axis of the Ground-Up Inside-Out Framework™ — Voice, Truth, and Story. How to find and trust your own voice in writing before the outside world shapes or constrains it — moving from the interior account through to the finished work that meets the outside world on its own terms. For writers who know what they want to say but have not yet found the way to say it.
